CONTEST CONDITIONS
- Only current members whose payment has been received are able to compete as a requirement of the Club's insurance policy
- Competition fee of $5 is payable on the day, for each division entered into
- Contest location and time will be communicated via Facebook; Instagram and SMS
- Competition may be cancelled or postponed at any time due to conditions and safety considerations.
All children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult at all times during all events. BAY AREA BOARDRIDERS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY, SUPERVISION OR WELL BEING OF YOUR CHILD.
CLUB DISCLAIMER
Bay Area Boardriderstakes no responsibility for such damage, loss or injury. It is a condition of participation in the competition or event that you agree and acknowledge the following:
1. I understand that I participate in the competitions entirely at my own risk, and that Bay Area Boardriders Club and its officials shall have no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered.
2. I hereby release the Bay Area Boardriders Club and it’s officials from any liability in respect of loss, damage injury claim, legal action, cost, penalties or proceedings suffered, incurred arising at any time as a result of, or in connection with my attendance at or participation in the competitions or any event organized by Bay Area Boardriders Club, whether caused through negligence, default, misconduct or otherwise.
3. I consent to receiving any rescue assistance, first aid or medical treatment that the Bay Area Boardriders representatives consider necessary or desirable during the Event. I will accept the assistance, first aid or medical treatment from the Event Organizer or authorized representatives. I agree to reimburse the Event Organizer for any costs or expenses incurred in providing me with medical treatment.
4. I acknowledge and consent to photographs and electronic images being taken of me during my participation in any Bay Area Boardriders Event. I acknowledge that such photographs and images are used for promotional or other purposes without my further consent being obtained. Further, I consent to the Event Organizer’s using my name, image, likeness and also my performance in the Event, at any time by any form of media.
5. Bay Area Boardridersrecommends that each surfer holds personal accident insurance, this may be obtained from Surfing NSW. Please email info@surfingnsw.com.au for more information.
6. Competitors under the age of 18 are expected to be under constant supervision of a parent or guardian at all times whilst competing or attending any Bay Area Boardriders Club event. Bay Area Boardriders club do not provide supervision of any competitor or member under the age of 18 years old and as such they remain the responsibility of their own parent or Guardian.
